Our question comes from Sofia, a marketing manager, who asks, “If you had to choose your favorite ways to use Gemini, what would they be?”
Thanks for your question, Sofia. Here are four of my favorite ways to use Gemini. Each one’s easy to integrate into your daily workflow.
1. Switch formats
Bring your ideas to life using the most effective format. Gemini can convert an image into a written description, a written description into a video, a video into quiz questions, and everything in between.
Imagine your team needs to understand the latest industry regulations. Instead of sending them a memo, share the memo with Google Vids and create a training video. You can also ask Gemini to develop a set of quiz questions to check for understanding.
You’re reviewing the sales team’s quarterly report and don’t understand a scatterplot visualization. Ask Gemini to draft a written description to help you interpret the graph. Just upload the image into the Gemini prompt bar to start.
With Gemini you can switch formats from:
Image to text
Text to image, poem, table, or video
Bulleted list to polished paragraph of text

Ask Gemini to interpret a complex graph.
2. Prompt Gemini from your Chrome bar
Save time with a Chrome shortcut: Type @gemini into your address bar. Then make your request. Remember to prompt like a pro.

3. Ask AI for questions (instead of answers)
Gemini can suggest questions you can ask (yourself or others; for a primer, see Question your way to better prompting). This can help you surface new topics and flesh out ideas. Imagine you’re a marketing manager starting a new role. Ask Gemini, “What are the three questions I should ask my manager when I start my new job?”
Gemini may suggest questions like these:
What are the key performance indicators for my department?
What are my team’s biggest challenges and opportunities?
What are your preferred methods of communication and feedback?
Find gaps in your marketing materials. Try this prompt: “Ask me six questions about my product that aren't answered in this product brief [upload brief].”

4. Pin your prompt
Save and share Gemini research by pinning your prompts. Pin those product brief questions and send them to your marketing team. The steps are simple. In the Gemini app:
Hover your cursor over the left-hand side until you find recent prompts.
Click the three dots to the right of your prompt and select “Pin.”
Now it’s pinned to the top of your prompt list.
